John has coached executives and teams at organizations like Cisco, Medtronic, Nestle and Pfizer to develop presence, confidence and leadership impact. As a theater actor, John has appeared on the stages of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Hollywood Bowl, Pasadena Playhouse, Antaeus Theatre Company and the Pacific Resident Theatre, of which he was a founding member. In addition, he is an award-winning theater director with 37 productions to his credit. Onscreen, John spent four seasons as Marine Colonel Clifford Blakely on the CBS series JAG and was a series regular on Comedy Central’s The Clinic. John earned a B.A. in theater studies and English from Yale and was among the first students to receive an M.F.A. in acting from the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. He is currently an associate professor of theater practice at the USC's School of Dramatic Arts.
